NCAA Tournament Dark Horse I know it's still early and we don't know who's in or not, but I was wondering whom you guys are thinking for some dark horses to potentially reach the Final Four. I really like Michigan State. Yes yhey have been struggling of late and will probably be seeded anywhere from 5-7, but they are better then what they have shown lately. I really like the trio of Ager, Davis and Brown. Also Izzo has a career record of 23-7 in the Big Dance and always has his team ready to make a run. Last edited by wedge : 03-08-2006 at 08:45 AM.

Re: NCAA Tournament Dark Horse MSU is always an apt choice. With Tom Izzo, a litany of athletes and Paul Davis they are certainly talented enough. The Spartans are virtually identical to the team that made the final four last year and are traditionally competitive in The NCAA Tourney. I am anticipating an SEC team having a surprising tournament run. Can an SEC regular season champion be considered a dark horse? Because LSU is really under the radar right now. Arkansas and Alabama have been playing above themselves as well. Several Big East teams that have been overshadowed by Nova and UConn are threats to everyone in the field, such as Cinncy, The Cuse (if they can manage to swindle an at-large bid, same situation for Indiana) Marquette and Lousiville are all capable of upsetting the favorites. Again, I am anticipating a lot of upsets (as far as seeding is concerned at least) but as far as teams who can win the title, that field is probably limited to 7-10 teams.

Re: NCAA Tournament Dark Horse I like WVU. I just remeber the run they had last year. whenever you have 5 guys on the floor that are not only athletes but have the ability to knock down the three you will be dangerous in any form of post season play. Gange and Pittsnogle are two guys I really like and always seem to make big shots.
