The East is a major Basketball Beast. Who wins this animal? There are so many good teams. UConn may be the favorite but they can be beaten by any number of teams. The East will have a lot to with the NCAA tournament seedings. Should be interesting.

I would say that UConn is the team to beat. I know that is the easy pick but they should be able to win the conference tourney. If you are looking for a bit of a stretch I would say that Georgetown or Cincy could jump up and suprise someone. But I would say UConn is and should be the favorite.

UConn is obviously favored but the Big East has several teams capable of making a run. Villanova, Cincy, or even West Virginia could get hot and make a run.

Uconn eliminated just like that. Syracuse wins in overtime. Here comes Pitt, WVU, and Villanova.

My guess is that Nova will take the tourney. I would like to see WVU heat up and make a run, but it is going to be difficult. Nova is playing great ball right now.

Also, G'Town is going to be facing Syracuse in one semifinal matchup. With UConn out of it, there is going to be at least one sleep in the final.

After seeing some of that Syracuse - UConn game today, I'd put my money on the Orange. Boy, did they look hungry. Jumped out to a big lead, fought and scrapped all the way and ultimately managed to down a far more talented team. Jimmy B.'s got his boys all geeked up for this one!

I like the Hoyas chances, at least to go to the Finals. They have played two poor games and still won them both. If they can actually get off to a good start, Sorrycuse is in trouble.

Hoyas have looked inconsistent, at best, yet are in the Semis. I believe 'Cuse have played over their heads and will now not feel the urgency of having to win the Big East Tournament to make the big dance; for they are already in.

Hope you didn't bet the house on that prediction. Syracuse advances to the Finals today with a 58-57 win over No. 23 Georgetown. No. 2 Villanova and No. 15 Pittsburgh is just about to tip off. Anyone predicting back-to-back upsets in the Big East? Not me! 'Nova takes this one.

Yeah, Pitt shut me up real good. Didn't think they had a win like that in them. Most impressive. So that sets up an Orange - Panthers final. Dare I ask for predictions?

Don't let it get you down. I was wrong once last year myself. As far as predictions. I'm a homer but I love Pitts ability to come off the bench with their variety pack and beat the big orange.

Well, I picked the Orange earlier in the thread, and dangnabbit, I'm sticking with it. Hard to pick against either team now though, as both have been hot and are coming off of a pair of big wins in the tourney. Should be a real barnburner of a game, that's for sure!
