Preseason All-America Team

The preseason Associated Press All-America Team has been announced. The top vote getter was 6-9 sophomore forward Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, and according to the AP's report, "Joining Hansbrough were juniors Joakim Noah of Florida, Ronald Steele of Alabama and Glen Davis of LSU and sophomore Brandon Rush of Kansas." Do you agree with their selections?

Re: Preseason All-America Team

i definately agree with Tyler Hansborough being #1. He put up excellent numbers in his freshmean year. The thing that makes it even better it was in the ACC. The Acc is the best basketball confrence in the WHOLE NATION.

For now, I'll agree. But the SEC is just getting stronger & stronger in roundball. We've got 2 of the great players on this AP All-America team and 3 teams in the top 10 poll.

We might just look up in another few years & see that the SEC is the dominant conference in both football & basketball at the eame time.

I have my tickets already for when UNC visits Tucson to play Arizona. We will finally get to see one of these top teams play a rare game in our house. Usually we only see them on the road or in a neutral setting. Arizona is deep, and they will be ready to avenge last years loss in Chapel Hill.

THe SEC has really stepped it up in the last couple of years. I think the mention of several players in the preseason predictions is a nod to that. Too bad there can't be conference vs. conference tournament to settle that argument.

Re: Preseason All-America Team

The SEC has stepped it up. It's great to see the competition out there. I am a UNC Homer, but it's great to see other programs having great teams.

It will be interesting as the year progress's to see who wins the Player of the Year Award.

Re: Preseason All-America Team

Hansborough definitly deserved it. But he's going to have playat last seasons level or better to keep Roy happy.
