Re: 22.5 Back

Tell me about it. With the Pirates and the Indians struggling, I've got no one to root for and no hope for the 2006 season.

Wow, who would've guessed it going into the season. They were looking so good at the end of the last season too. Tough break.

Cool Re: 22.5 Back

It's a shame about the Royals. When I was growing up they were one of the better franchises in baseball. George Brett was the best hitter I ever saw.

Re: 22.5 Back

I am just glad that the All Star Break has come and gone so that sports personalities can finally stop focusing on last year's magic comeback to almost make it to the post-season.

This year's team lost a major player in Crisp and never filled the gap properly. Michaels was not the answer, and then to add to that debacle the Tribe went on to sign Jason Johnson - who was having a horrible season last year with the Tigers.

They Tribe officials can trade Broussard or any other player they wish, and the team will not come back. All hopes for 2006 are diminished and 2007 isn't looking any better unless the team decides to focus on the talent it has, seriously evaluate the talent and get rid of the junk. File a few of these players in the trash can and bring up some top prospects, or go out and get some great veteran leaders to come onto the team and add some life and direction to the spark of Grady Sizemore and Travis Hafner.

Without a manager like an Ozzie Guillen, the team is without any set direction and left to try to make up for key coaching mistakes that continue to cost the team games.

Last season was a fluke and, as always, we need to stop living in the past and focus on the present and the future.

Re: 22.5 Back

BrownsFan4Lyfe, welcome to GoTeamsGo! Good to have you here! It's painful watching the Tribe sometimes. They do have some good young talent, but it sounds as though you're not sold on some of the personnel and definitely not as Wedge as manager. So would you be so kind as to play GM for us? If you took over this Indians team at the end of the season, what moves would you make, players and coaches?

Welcome to GoTeamsGo BrownsFan4Life. The Indians can certainly hit, but would you say their pitching has not lived up to its billing this year? Cliff Lee's WHIP is 1.5 and opposing batters are batting .290 against Paul Byrd.
