He is apparently suffering from soreness in the intracostal muscles between his ribs. The DL assignment is retroactive to April 20. The Tribe has recalled Ben Francisco, a corner outfielder, from Buffalo. I should think they'll bring up Aaron Laffey from the Bisons to start the games that Westbrook would have pitched. He's 3-1 for Buffalo, to date.

I'd like to see Laffey get a shot... they must not think he's ready, though.
