| Indians One Game From World Series The Indians are just one game away from returning to the World Series. The Tribe took game four in Cleveland, 7-3. After an off day today, the series resumes Thursday. Josh Beckett tries to keep the BoSox from being eliminated while C.C. Sabathia tries to clinch the pennant. The Indians haven't been to a World Series since 1997, when they lost to the Florida Marlins in a seven game thriller. Previously, they also lost the 1995 World Series. | Re: Indians One Game From World Series Indians haven't won a Series since they beat the Boston Braves 4 games to 2 in 1948. If they manage to win this series, it will be interesting to see who Vegas makes the favorite in the World Series. Two teams with incredible momentum, I would figure the AL would be a slight favorite due to home field advantage and Tribe's 2 19 game winners. Still believe Boston can come back.

| Re: Indians One Game From World Series Normally, I would be cheering for the Indians, but I have a bet to win. In 1988, I bet my college roommate that the Reds would win 2 world series before any Cleveland team won a title. I have one more to go before I can root for the Indians or the Browns. I will give him the money for a Cavs win though.
