Indians' magic carpet ride?

The Cleveland Indians won their 7th straight game yesterday, bearing the White Sox 8-5. According to the Associated Press, "Cleveland improved to 12-3 since Aug. 15 and opened a season-high 5 1/2 -game lead over the second-place Detroit Tigers." Do they pretty much have the Central division locked up at this point?

Cool Re: Cleveland winning streak

Looking at Cleveland's schedule, I would be surprised if they lost this division lead.

Later this week, they play 4 games at LA. That's the toughest it gets.

And on the 17th,18th, and 19th the play the Tigers at home.

Otherwise it's Minnesota, Kansas City, Chicago, Oakland...all beatable teams.

Cool Indians' magic carpet ride?

I'm starting to wonder whether Cleveland has a little magic going. When you start hitting game-tying homers in the 9th inning after one of the baseballs' best closers, it might be a signal. Anybody agree?
