Cool Fausto Carmona

Carmona is 13-4, with a 3.31 ERA and a very respectable 1.28 WHIP, including a 1-0 shutout of the Red Sox a couple of nights ago.

Why don't we hear much about this guy?

Re: Fausto Carmona

I was just about to ask...WHO IS THIS GUY?

I don't pay any attention to the AL Central or West...so I have absolutely no idea who this guy is with 13 wins (5-0 in July...lol), and who just shut out the Red Sox.

Re: Fausto Carmona

I've been hearing about Carmona. If I'm the Indains i may be a bit worried that the 1-10 Fausto comes back from last year.

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Slipping further behind Detroit in the standings was an option the Cleveland Indians couldn't fathom.

With their promising season in danger of unraveling, they needed a victory badly.

How badly?

"On a scale of 1 to 10?" closer Joe Borowski asked. "A 12."

Fausto Carmona struck out a career-high 10 and finally got his 14th win as the Indians regained a share of the division lead with Detroit by beating the Tigers 5-2 on Wednesday night to split the two-game AL Central showdown series.

This is the sign of a big pitcher. He goes out and wins a game you HAVE to have.

Cool Re: Fausto Carmona

He pitched good enough to win last night. He threw a complete game but lost 2-1 to Deetroit. Somehow they're still ahead of the the Tigers in the standings.
