Talking Pull the trigger!Xavier Nady

Who do you think would be the best addtion for this season?

My personal opinon is that we trade a couple of our endless amounts of young arms and are young outfield talent.

Alfonso Soriano-would be a great asst. to this team work out a partial buy out send some top tier talent and we could be looking at a ring in Cleveland.

Ty Wigginton,Mark Teixeira, Matt Holliday, Ryan Doumit, and Xavier Nady would be great addtions.

Re: Pull the trigger!Xavier Nady

There's a better chance of myself signing a big league contract then there is the Cubs trading Soriano.

Nady is a decent outfield bat with some pop. However, are you sure you're willing to deal away some of your young arms? It seems they always play a keel role down the stretch and into October.

I dunno about that they take abother slide in the next weeks its always a possiablity. Now i'm saying trade the young guys in minors would work great

I doubt Cleveland lands Soriano. For one thing, the Cubs probably aren't willing to part with him. For another, he makes too much - this is a team that still has important players they need to get long-term deals done with. And finally, they'd have to part with way too many prospects, and quite frankly, I'm not sure it's worth it. Now, a Matt Holliday trade? That I'd like.

I think before they decide to go get anybody tehy need to get a deal done with Sabathia. Anything else is pointless. He is going to be teh reason whether they win anything or not.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo SlickVick. Do the Indians really need Nady? Their hitting hisn't the problem. They can use another pitcher.

Thanks man....i really didn't mean to put Xavier in the title lol my main point is we need another soildified out fielder left or right field or possiable move casey out there and bring in a top-tier third baseman. I def agree with you about the pitching we could use one or two more arms to finsh off the bull pen but the price of even the mediocre talent is way too high brad lidge if you make the right offer you could have him in Cleveland. But no one has really thrown out any names anybody you think would be a great fit?

You're totally right about the pitching talent out there. There are a bunch of teams going after very few pitchers so to get a decent one, you have to pay through the nose. As an extra outfielder, what about Matt Stairs of the Jays? He definitely can be had. He's a quality hitter
