Cool Eric Wedge

To think that this guy was in trouble last year is a joke. Indians are now 47-32. Is Wedge the Manager of the Year? The only other person I can see considering is Mike Hargrove. Who would you pick?

I would probably say Hargrove (Seattle 43-33) at this point, but not by much.

Re: Eric Wedge

What about Mike Sciocia for LAA. He is not having an easy time with his pitching and he still has them in first.

I still don't think Wedge is that good of a manager. The only difference in the team I see is the bullpen. They are much better than last year. Their starting pitching has been a surprise too with Carmona off to his fast start, and Sabathia pitching like the ace he was predicted to be. I don't know if much of this is Wedge's doing, or if it has to do with better players and a pitching coach doing his job.

Cool Re: Eric Wedge

Sciosa has the most talented team in the division. Almost everyone picked them to win it. So while I think he's done a good job, based on the expectations, I think both Wedge and Hargrove would get the nod over Scocsia.
