C.C. Sabathia

What a fantastic season Indians P C.C. Sabathia is having! Sabathia won his ninth game of the season yesterday, tossing a complete game shutout in a 1-0 win over the Kansas City Royals. He has 83 strikeouts on the year compared to just 19 walks, and has been right up there with both Lackey and Beckett in most AL pitching categories. What do you thinik of Sabathia and his performance thus far in 2007?

Totally dominating.... Lackey, Sabathia, and Beckett in a three-man race for the Cy Young.

Yep, you're 100% right on that MVB. No one else is even close right now. Wonder which of the trio will actually wind up winning it.

Re: C.C. Sabathia

I wonder where Johan Santana is this year.

Last time I checked, he had a 5-4 record.

Cool Re: C.C. Sabathia

How about this?

11-2, 3.24 ERA, 108K's, 17BB, WHIP 1.14.....This is a Cy Young type year.

Re: C.C. Sabathia

Sabathia became baseball's first 12-game winner this season with yesterday's 8-6 Cleveland win over Tampa Bay. According to the AP, he's also "7-1 with a 2.62 ERA in his last 10 starts." He should win 20 games this season, easily, and Pundit's right - he's definitely got to be a Cy Young favorite.

Re: C.C. Sabathia

Win #13 came last night, as Sabathia allowed four runs and nine hits over six innings and got some big-time help from Grady Sizemore, both with a nice defensive play and a tiebreaking dinger, in the win. Coming into last night's game, Sabathia allowed 13 runs in 11 innings in two losses, and he nearly blew a 4-0 lead last night. So apparently C.C.'s not immune to the Tribe's recent struggles.
