Cleveland Indians: Baseball's Best Home Team

With yesterday's 11-5 win over the Detroit Tigers, the Cleveland Indians improved to 18-4 at Jacob's Field. That's the best home record in Major League Baseball, folks. Furthermore, the Indians are 14-4 against the AL Central, including 4-0 against Detroit. C.C. Sabathia picked up the win to go 8-1 overall and 5-0 at the Jake. Can Cleveland keep up their winning ways at home?

Jacob's Field is gloomy and depressing... the Injuns beat their opponents phsycologically.

I kind of like the place. I don't find it depressing at all.

Re: Cleveland Indians: Baseball's Best Home Team

Chalk up yet another home win for the Tribe, and they did it in dramatic fashion.

According to the Associated Press, "David Dellucci singled home the winning run with two outs to cap a five-run ninth off closer Todd Jones as the Indians rallied past the Tigers 12-11 Friday night... Jones (1-3) blew his second straight save opportunity as the reeling Tigers lost for the seventh time in eight games and fell 4 1/2 games behind first-place Cleveland in the AL Central."
