According to the Associated Press, "Cleveland ace C.C. Sabathia's left forearm was bruised when he was struck by a line drive in his final spring training tuneup on Wednesday, putting in doubt his scheduled start in the Indians' opener next week at Chicago... The ball smashed into the outside of Sabathia's arm, above his wrist. X-rays were negative and he'll be re-evaluated on Thursday."

Hopefully nothing's broken. Losing him would be a huge blow to the Tribe.

Tough break (no pun intended) for the Indians. Hopefully, like you said Lefty, his arm checks out and he'll be fine. The Indians expect to contend this year and if they miss Sabathia for any stretch of time, MAJOR blow.

Word is they're re-evaluating today, and there's a shot he misses at least his Opening Day start.

I haven't heard any word on his start, but I heard it is a bone contusion. He may miss his opening spot, but should not have to miss any time.
