Well, there goes our closer... the AP is reporting that Keith Foulke has retired before even throwing a single pitch with the Tribe. "Over the last few weeks, while preparing for the 2007 season, my body has not responded as it has in years past," Foulke told reporters in a press statement. "I feel strongly I will not be able to perform at the level where I need to be to help the Indians this season. They are a class organization and I wish them the best of luck in 2007." So, will the closer be Borowski now?

I suppose you can pencil Joe Borowski in at closer, as I believe he was the only other one that Shapiro felt was worthy of being at the spot. It certainly isn't going to be Fausto Carmona, I can tell you that much.
