LeBron James knows he was wrong to snub the Magic and the media, and David Stern decided the NBA was wrong when it didn't punish the MVP for it. So the commissioner changed his mind and fined James $25,000 for skipping the postgame news conference after Cleveland lost to Orlando in the Eastern Conference finals.

We talked about this in another thread. I thought it was poor sportsmanship although I understand Lebron's frustration at the time.
Stern said this:
“He asked that I express to the media, the Magic and the fans his apology, and particularly the young fans, because he knows he has a responsibility to all of our fans, and that sportsmanship is appropriate whether you win or whether you lose,” Stern said near the start of his annual NBA finals press conference."

Still, the fine is kind of adding insult to injury.

He could have hired me for 1/25th of that and I would have talked to the media for him...

I would have started with, "the biggest difference between Dwight Howard and me is that he has a team around him, and I don't...so darn it! Why am I not called Superman!!!"...then I would have pointed to my NY Yankees hat and say, I am going to the Big City, where they will put a team around me..."

How much of a fine would he have got for that?
Actually, he more or less did say that later didnt he?
But still, as I read some place else, the Cavs did get to the playoffs. So there must have been some sort of team around him.

Yeah and they died in the playoffs, gone the I could see the Invisible Women more than I could see Mo Williams in that series and he's supposed be LeBron's right hand man. Also blame Mike Brown, was just awful in that series, Danny Gibson was good when he played but Brown rarely played him, same with Wally. Whatever happened if you can't say anything nice don't say it all.

LeBron would killed even more if he said "I might be able win 5-1 against the Kings but the Magic and my coach didn't realize we needed to go small in the 3rd quarter of game five, and never played the guy who acutally helped ☻☻☻☻ie Gibson, I can't deal with Cleveland anymore, I'm already apartment shopping in the New York-New Jersey area"
