Is Lebron James a team player?

Consider this: When Dwight Howard gets into trouble, he looks for a teammate.
When Lebron James gets into trouble, he looks for, well, Lebron James.
Is Lebron James a team player and why or why not?

Re: Is Lebron James a team player?

i would say yes he is ..... but he doesnt have much of a team around him

there were times when Jordan scored 50+ ..... but i dont think anyone would accuse him of not being a team player ...... i clearly recall when he passed the ball to Paxson (i think) who made the winning shot in a playoff game

i believe he would love to score 10 points in a game and have 20 assists and win ....... instead of scoring 40+ and losing ..... but he doesnt have many viable options other then taking the shot himself

Re: Is Lebron James a team player?

Sometimes he passes to a teammate. More often he does not.
His teammates are accused of not stepping up more often.
Which comes first? The chicken or the egg?
Does he not pass off more often because his teammates dont step up?
Or do his teammates not step up because more than likely they arent going to get the ball anyway so why bother?
I saw him not passing off in the playoffs. But I didnt watch him in the regular season. So I need a fan to give me an answer.

Re: Is Lebron James a team player?

I think he is a team guy, who is he supposed to pass it off too, Gibson never plays, Mo Williams was like a deer in the headlights, Scerbiziek never plays, Pavlavic is awful. Delonte West is so-so. If he passed it off to one of them we'd have a thread called "LeBron: Is he clutch enough, Can he be the guy"

He is does more of his team than most players he does all the locker room team building stuff. What more do you want? He has to be the guy, how is him being the guy make him not a team guy

Bad Coaching really...Lebron is ask to take it and he does...don't you think Mike Brown has a lot to do with that?

I dont know bears. Thats why I am asking. I never watched him play before the playoffs. Actually, I never watched basketball until playoffs. But I had heard of him. This was an honest question, not an attack on Lebron.

Thats a good thought. Bad coaching hurts a team.
How long has Brown been coaching Cleveland, how long has he coached period and has he ever taken any team to the playoffs or beyond? In other words, is there any reason to suspect Brown might not be a good coach for Lebron and the Cavs?
