Re: Cavs - Pistons Series God, no. This is the one team in The East that no one in the East can compete with, especially Cleveland. Well balanced teams like The Pistons historically dismantle one man shows like Cleveland is this year. It has been covered ad nauseum, but this is identical to Jordan in the 80's. Expect to see three more games of Illgauskas and Gooden taking fifteen foot jumpers and LeBron being triple teamed. While every point guard for Cleveland struggles to take the ball across half-court.

Re: Cavs - Pistons Series Keep your hopes up, legend. I always thought that the it would be possibly the Spurs and the Pistons in the Finals. As of now, it looks as if the Mavericks might be able to advance further into the Playoffs and leave the Spurs in their path. But I think LeBron James will have to start packing his bags to go home for this series. The Pistons are no match-up for the young Cavaliers.

This is more about the Cavs getting the feel of the playoffs then winning...Lebron is a few years away from figuring it all out...he will adjust to what he is seeing...From what I saw of yesterdays game...early on, they were shuting him down from getting a good look at the basket...This is a learnig exercise and the Pistons are the best to learn it from.

Re: Cavs - Pistons Series Pretty much Gotham, they made it to the playoffs and won one series, that was what they were supposed to accomplish this season. Donyell Marshall even said before game two that The Cavs cannot beat The Pistons (hopefully he realizes he is part of the problem). I don't ever recall seeing a second round playoff series so comically one-sided.

Re: Cavs - Pistons Series What's this? Suddenly, Cleveland has Detroit on the brink of elimination and the series isn't so "comically one sided" anymore. I'm as shocked as anyone, but I'm loving it. 32 points from LeBron and a key assist on Gooden's game-winner, and just like that the Cavs have beaten the Pistons thrice in a row. I'm starting to believe, guys. One more's all they need...

Re: Cavs - Pistons Series I have never been more content in being wrong. It is long overdue for Varejo (spelling?) to get placed in the starting line up, he is a far better player than Gooden and more appropriate for this series than Illgauskas. If nothing else this series is going seven, which is an achievement in its own right. But if they can somehow pull of this upset, it would probably be the biggest I have seen since Nuggets-Sonics in 1994, possibly ever. With that said, it is clear Detroit is not as nearly as good as they think they are. they tend too strut around with an obnoxiously cocky demeanor, which most of us put up with because it is warranted a lot of the time, so it is good to see them knocked down a peg. Is Sheed going to play game six? He received a technical foul last night and he exceeded the league limit in the regular season that stipluates a one game suspension for every technical foul thereafter. Does that cross over into the regular playoffs?

Great game last night. If the Cavs could have grabbed a defensive rebound in the last minute, they might have won. Also, Detroit was really choking it up on the line in the last minute of the game. I think Game 7 might be a blow out. The Cavs had there chance last night and couldn't seal the deal.

| Re: Cavs - Pistons Series This is a pretty entertaining series. Its like James said.."they (Detroit) aint the big bad wolf" I personally thought that they were. For the Cavs to be ahead in the series and have the Pistons on the ropes like that is incredible. But I don't see how they can put them away. Back to Detroit for game seven.
