According to Yahoo! Sports, "Spanish newspaper Marca last week quoted a source close to Anderson Varejao as saying he is close to 'giving up' signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season... What that means isn't clear, whether he'll follow through with threats to sit out the season or sign to play in Europe. Either way, the Cavs maintain his rights next summer." And either way, it's terrible news for Cleveland. Why can't they get the deal done?

This is terrible news. They need him to play this year. He was the one that always gave the team a spark when it started to fall apart. They would play tired, then Brown would send in Varajao. His hyper playing style got the other teammates playing harder and quicker. They will miss that.

How does LeBron take this news?? He has always stated he will stay in Cleveland as long as ownership shows they are trying to put together a winning team. Are they really trying by not signing an important part of this team.

Good question, az. Wish I knew. It absolutely blows my mind that they can't get a deal done with such an important piece of the puzzle.
