New Browns Regime “lukewarm” On Quinn

We’re hearing that the new power structure in Cleveland — the combination of coach Eric Mangini and G.M. George Kokinis to which folks around the league refer as “ManKok” — isn’t sold on Brady Quinn as the starting quarterback.
One source with knowledge of the dynamics in Cleveland says that the new power structure there is “lukewarm” on Quinn.
As a result, don’t be surprised if the Browns opt to keep Derek Anderson, pay his $5 million roster bonus, and let Anderson and Quinn battle it out for the starting job.

Why not let them battle for starting position? I say go for it, although I cant get excited about Mangini as head coach anywhere.

Re: New Browns Regime “lukewarm” On Quinn

It's allright to keep DA as an expensive backup. But he's clearly not the guy. As long as they start BQ and give him at least one season as they did DA to see what he'll do. I hope really that it is just posturing by the new guys so as to not give DA away at too low a price. It's about time we got someone in charge that is a little ahead of the curve with giving away people at the wrong time under the wrong circumstances. I mean that really comes down to it; if you're better at assessing talent and aquiring that talent than your competitor, you at least start ahead of the game.

Hey Eric, can you say Terry Holt???
I know in Miami they'll be saying hello to Mr. Stallworth at the 'facility'.
