The Browns inked 6th rounder Lawrence Vickers and 7th rounder Justin Hamilton to four-year deals last week. Vickers ran for 635 yards and 12 touchdowns as a fullback at Colorado, while Hamilton played free safety as a senior at Virginia Tech and picked off three passes. Cleveland's front office must expect something out of these guys to commit to four-year deals, eh?

Four years huh?...really depends on the amount of money we are talking about...If they are cheap now...a four year deal is not bad...I hate for a guy to develop in two and be looking for big money in three when he is actually ready to help the team.

On the other hand, if you weren't sure about a guy's chances to make your team, you'd likely only sign him to a 1-2 year deal. They must really see something they like in this duo.

Naw, I say they are speculating...how much have teams seen in mini camps etc?...I think it's an over all team strategy saying they will commit to their players and their scouting system...

I can see it being the case after a full camp, but its so early that I really feel its a front office's wishful thinking and overall vision.

Two more draft picks signed, and once again both get four year deals. This time out, the Browns signed fifth-round pick DeMario Minter and sixth-round selection Babatunde Oshinowo. Minter is a first-team All-SEC cornerback from Georgia, while Oshinowo is a nose tackle out of Stanford who is expected to back-up Ted Washington.
