An interesting look ahead to what may be the Cleveland Browns depth chart here. At QB, obviously Frye starts, but it seems like Browns fans might actually rather have Vinnie as backup than Dorsey. At running back, look for Droughns to get most of the carries unless suspended, then it goes to fan favorite Lee Suggs if healthy and William Green as the third stringer. Braylon Edwards is said to be out until week three, so Joe Jurevicius and Dennis Northcut will probably start at WR. Also expect lots of two TE sets with Kellen Winslow Jr. and Steve Heiden, and top picks Kamerion Wimbley and D'Qwell Jackson to start on defense.

Sometimes you just have to move forward. Let Vinnie just go off and retire. He'd might be okay for a game or 2 but as the season went on last year, his age was really starting to show. I would rather have Dorsey as my backup at this point.

Dorsey was such a proven winner at the U of Miami. It makes me wonder why everyone's so down on him now. If given a chance with the right personnel around him, I still think he has a shot to be at least a halfway decent NFL QB. But I guess the Browns fans are looking for a proven veteran, no matter how old he is.

Really, though, if they wanted a veteran QB, they shoud've just kept Dilfer.

If Testaverde starts then the Browns will be regressing rather than moving forward to making themselves a contender. The future is now for the Browns but if they insist on making idiotic moves like making a 43 year old man who has NOTHING left their QB then Art Modell is going to be someplace comfortable laughing his behind off...as will I!
