Re: Kellen Winslow Jr. comeback

A kinder, gentler Kellen Winslow Jr. stepped onto a football field for the first time in almost two years yesterday. Winslow, the once-cocky Browns tight end, almost seemed like a different person entirely talking to reporters after his first practice since tearing up his knee ligaments after a motorcycle stunt last year. He said that Ben Roethlisberger's accident "didn't seem real at first" and that "My prayers and thoughts are with him." He also said he was done with motorcycles for good. Has the kid turned the corner and, after leg injuried in consecutive years, does Winslow have anything left to offer as a football player?

I love the fact that he's done with bikes... Ben could learn something from Winslow.

Re: Kellen Winslow Jr. comeback

Dumping a motorcycle is a brilliant idea indeed. Its too bad Kellen Winslow did it after he did damage to his body which will never allow him to achieve the heights he could have achieved. Ki-Jana Carter II.

Hey, you never know, Trashed. Sports medicine has advanced a lot since Carter's injury. Winslow could still have a phenominal career ahead of him.

I would think it would also be a lot less serious at TE than at RB...Carter needed to quickness a lot more than Winslow.

True, but it will still come into play somewhat in route running, I would think.

Yeah, but these types of injuries seem to heel enough for those types of thing...I think the loss is usually to agility...but I am no doctor...

Route running indeed Left which requires speed, precision and the ability to make cuts and accelerate which he will never be able to do with those devastating injuries. Hes not going to be one of the elite tight ends. Hell be average nothing more.
