Re: Vinny back up for Frye?

Why not Vinnie Testaverde? I mean, the guy played last year and he comes in knowing the offense. Best case scenario, he tudors Frye and Dorsey without ever taking the field. Worst case is that he plays one or two games until either Frye is healthy or Dorsey is ready. Sure, his arm's probably about ready to fall off, but it's really his brain that they're most interested in.

Re: Vinny back up for Frye?

Did you know that Vinny Testaverde is so old that he was actually the 1st quarterback in recorded history? Its true. While Moses brought out the 10 commandments Vinny was tossing a pigskin (in those days it was made from sheepskin) around with his son Issac. Yep. Biblical historians have confirmed this fact. Seriously though, I mean I thought the Browns were supposed to be improved...this is not improving. Now as for Lefty's tutoring comment, thats fine, let him be Frye's QB coach. COACH I said. The man has less left physically than when Muhammad Ali fought Larry Holmes and Holmes dragged it out because he was afraid to hurt the "old man." Dorsey is a fiery competitor who reminds me of Boomer Esiason. Hes fine as a back up. You want Testaverdes experience? Make him a coach. Man, now I know why people make fun of the Browns so much and why they won a SuperBowl as soon as they moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens!

Any one heard of Tim Couch lately?...I had such high hopes for him.

Re: Vinny back up for Frye?

I am sure you did, Gotham Dark Knight. Many Cleveland Browns fans were almost guaranteed that Tim Couch would make an impact on the NFL. He did, but not a positive one. He was selected in the top of the first round, and never finished the top in anything else. He went down into history as one of the biggest busts known to mankind. Where is he today?
