The Browns have given GM Phil Savage a three-year contract extension.

According to the Associated Press, "Savage, whose new deal was announced Friday, has spent the last three seasons overhauling the Browns roster through draft-day trades and free agent acquisitions. He was hired in 2005 to rebuild a team that had made the playoffs only once since returning to the NFL in 1999." Not sure, after the offseason this team had and the draft, I'm all too happy with this move. What do you think?

I will wait until the season. Right now, I am not happy giving up what they did for Rogers, but if he returns to form it will be a steal. They need a run stopper. I am a little concerned about their deepbacks since they got rid of Bodden.

Yeah, I guess I should wait and see... but at this point, I wouldn't have given Bodden for Rogers straight up, let alone throw in the extra draft pick.

Bodden was one of my favorite Browns. I feel he was on the verge of breaking out into the elite DBs. He was always coming up with a big play.
