| Browns Sign Dante Stallworth to 7-Year Deal The Cleveland Browns added another prime target for newly re-signed quarterback Derek Anderson on Saturday, agreeing with New England veteran Donte' Stallworth on a seven-year contract worth $35 million, including $10 million guaranteed. The contract numbers are not final, but the two sides were discussing a deal that would average $5 million per year and pay $10 million in guaranteed money. Cleveland does not have any draft picks in the first three rounds of April's NFL Draft, so it is stockpiling players through free agency. Browns agree to deal with wide receiver Stallworth

| Re: Browns Sign Dante Stallworth to 7-Year Deal What? $5 million a season for a guy who's been a cast-off everywhere he's been? What the heck are the Browns doing here? Stallworth is an okay receiver, I guess, but that is way too much money for the kind of production he'll give them. Between this and trading Bodden for Rogers, I'm starting to lose confidence that this team will actually be able to complete for the AFC North title. Seems like they're taking steps backwards.

| Re: Browns Sign Dante Stallworth to 7-Year Deal Stallworth is only 27 so he may have a couple good years left in him. They are only into him for $10 million anyway so it could be an OK deal. Time will tell. This could be a change that is good for him. |

| Re: Browns Sign Dante Stallworth to 7-Year Deal Sorry, guys. The guy has just 4,200 yards in six seasons. He's never had a 1,000 yards seasons and he's never had more than 8 receiving touchdowns in a single season. And that's supposed to be worth $5 million per season? No way. It's a terrible signing. |
