Do you realize that after Tom Brady, the NFL's leader in touchdown passes right now is Derek Anderson of the Cleveland Browns? How is this possible? How is a guy who couldn't beat out Charlie freakin' Frye for the starting quarterback job in training camp playing so well now that the games count for real?

And more importantly, what on earth is going on with Brady Quinn, the guy the Browns traded up to draft in this year's first round, the guy who's supposed to be the Browns' quarterback of the future? Not only can the Browns not possibly justify pulling Anderson to give Quinn some playing time, but they also can't -- unless Anderson collapses over the second half of the season -- possibly justify having Anderson enter 2008 as anything other than the starter.

shoot, I'm glad Anderson is doing so well .. I picked him up for nothing after my fantasy league draft and he's replaced Carson Palmer as my #1!!!

from my perspective, Brady better start showing something in practice to solidify his #2 position or he might find himself on the trading block .. actually, that may be what's in the cards for him anyway. I doubt he'll get any playing time unless the Browns just want to rest Anderson during a blowout...

Yeah, that's about right. Ego will dictate that since they traded up to get Quinn, they'll force him in ASAP. But that will be a mistake.

This was supposed to be Romeo Crennel's make or break year and with Derek Anderson i'd say Crennel is making the most of this opportunity! Anderson is making Braylon Edwards a top 5 reciever and in some cases carrying the Browns to a game out of first place in the AFC North! Finally the city of Cleveland has something to cheer about. Now what to do with Quinn?
