| Jamal Lewis Browns rushing record Jamal Lewis has broken the Browns team record for most rushing yards in a game. He has 207 yards with 3:39 remaining in today's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The old record was just 161, set by Earnest Byner in 1986 against the Miami Dolphins. Amazing.

| Re: Jamal Lewis Browns rushing record Correction: one link at the Cleveland Browns website has the above Byner record, but another one has a 188 yard game by Byner in 1984 against the Oilers. Anyway you look at it, it's a team record, and Lewis is the first Browns player to go over 200 yards rushing in a single game. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/pdf/t...00_rushing.pdf |

| Re: Jamal Lewis Browns rushing record Of the top ten all-time rushing seasons, brown is at number ten, but his 6.4 yards per carry is the most of anyone on the list. However, I don't know if he ever went over 200 yards in a single game. |

On Nov. 24, 1957, in just the ninth game of his rookie season with the Browns, he set a league rushing record by carrying 31 times for 237 yards, an average of 7.6 yards per attempt, and four touchdowns in a 45-31 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at Cleveland Stadium. |
