Browns Vs. Steelers

Week 1 matchup Cleveland Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Will the addition of Jamal Lewis add more points to the scoreboard? Will the Steelers new coach and playbook help Big Ben show his rookie season wasnt a fluke? Will Braylon Edwards show off his mad skills?

I dont think this one will be close, mainly because you have frye in as qb, maybe if Brady Quinn was in there,Jamal lewis will make it interesting but I give the "W" to the steelers, they win by 10 pts..

Re: Browns Vs. Steelers

I think you guys are giving too much credit to the Steelers. Everyone here knows I'm not high on Ben. The line hasn't looked good and the running game has faltered in the preseason. The team just hasn't looked sharp. I think Cleveland can hang with them and maybe, just maybe, beat the Steelers.

Unless they plan on having Quinn cover Santonio Holmes, it ain't gonna help too much.

Now, now, I didn't say Frye was doing well. I'm merely pointing out that 1. the defense is worse and 2. Quinn wouldn't be fairing much better anyway. Now, if the Browns want to sacrifice their future QB so they can appease the fans and maybe so he can go 12-of-20 for 160 yards 1 TD and 2 INTs in the process? Fine by me, that's their business. Quinn would be no more effective than Claussen was for his alma mater on Saturday.

Re: Browns Vs. Steelers

The Browns schedule does suck...it sucks enough that they will keep Quinn away from the tougher D's until the sixth or seventh game.

Yes, thank you. There is no sense getting your future franchise QB killed this early in the season. Patience, people, patience.

Direct snap to the RB every snap, and get him a fullback on either side. I like it. Throwback to the old days.

Cool Re: Browns Vs. Steelers

For some reason, I thought that the Browns were going to actually compete in this game. My bad.

I'm not sure there was a position on the field where the Browns didn't look woefully overmatched in. They have so many weaknesses it's not even funny. This shouldn't be happening this far into Romeo's regime, given some of the free agent signings and draft picks this team has added. Even so, they looked like they could well be the worst team in the league, because I'm still not convinced the Steelers are anything special, but they sure made the Browns look like chumps.
