| Thomas Deal Reached It's now official, even if the agreement isn't signed. The Browns have a deal in place with tackle Joe Thomas, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Originally reported by Adam Schefter of NFL Network and confirmed by John Clayton of ESPN.com, Thomas signed a six-year deal that easily reduces to five. The contract has $23.5 million in guaranteed money and could have a maximum value of $42.5 million. The Browns now can focus their attention on getting quarterback Brady Quinn under contract. | Re: Thomas Deal Reached Good, they've got the more important of their two first-round picks under contract. Hopefully he's the real deal and can help not only in pass protection but when it comes to opening lanes for Jamal Lewis as well. I've seen a lot of first-round busts when it comes to offensive lineman, though. Just hoping Thomas is more Orlando Pace than Tony Mandarach.
