Browns QB bust wants comeback

Former Browns QB Tim Couch will try one more time to catch on with an NFL team. In an exclusive interview with WKYT, Couch said he's in the best shape of his life and has contacted every team in the NFL, looking for work. Couch, who will turn 30 this month, said he's up to 245 lbs., more than 20 lbs. over his playing weight when he was drafted by the Browns in 1999, and has lowered his body fat content from 13 percent to five percent.

Okay, he was injury prone and not that good when he was healthy. But then, on the other hand, someone signed both Jeff George and Josh Booty in the past year. So someone will probably give Couch another chance, but I doubt very much that he'll successfully catch on anywhere.

Oh, I dont doubt someone who needs a veteran will sign him. But bust is a really good description of him.

It was never really that he was in bad shape I don't think. He could just never keep up with the speed of the game. He was always just a little off.

I like him more than Booty and George...I'd give him a clipboard as a 3rd stringer.

That's about the best he can hope for at this point, unless all those surgeries gave him an arm like the kid in "Little Big League".
