Post Cleveland signs FB J.R. Niklos

Free-agent fullback J.R. Niklos was signed to the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. Niklos was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks in 2002 after going undrafted; most recently he was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2006... Niklos was attained as an insurance policy behind Lawrence Vickers, the team's only other fullback. Barring injury, though, longtime sub Niklos won't make much impact.

Just as the newsbot says, this is nothing more than the Browns wanting to have someone else at that position, in case Vickers goes down.
