Browns Sign Def Coordinator 2yr Ext.
The Cleveland Browns signed defensive coordinator Todd Grantham to a two-year contract extension on Thursday that will keep him with the team through the 2009 season.
Grantham, who was a finalist for the Michigan State head coaching position last year, served as the defensive-line coach for the Houston Texans for three seasons before joining Cleveland in 2005.
The Browns ranked 27th in total defense in the 2006 season.
