CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards has pledged $1 million in college scholarships for eighth grade students in Cleveland who keep at least a 2.5 grade point average through high school, the team announced Monday... Edwards’ foundation is choosing 100 students from the city’s 58,000-student district for the program, which will include mentoring and tutoring. The students will also volunteer for 15 hours of community service each year and will not be allowed unexcused absences, the Browns said in a statement.
