Browns cut Joe Andruzzi

The Cleveland Browns will reportedly release guard Joe Andruzzi later today.

According to the Associated Press, "Andruzzi's impending departure is the lastest move on Cleveland's rebuilt offensive line. In March, the Browns signed free agent guard Eric Steinbach to a seven-year $49.5 million contract and on Saturday they drafted Wisconsin tackle Joe Thomas with the No. 3 overall pick... Andruzzi started 27 games the past two seasons for the Browns, who signed him as a free agent in 2005." Not sure I'm crazy about this move. The Browns need all the offensive line help they can afford.

BROWNS CUT ANDRUZZI
Sportinglife.com, UK - 1 hour ago
The Cleveland Browns have released veteran left guard Joe Andruzzi, a member of three Super Bowl-winning teams with the New England Patriots.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel lured Andruzzi to Cleveland when he took over as coach in 2005 after serving as the Patriots' defensive coordinator from 2000 to 2004. Andruzzi started 27 games in two seasons with the Browns.

A 10-year veteran, Andruzzi battled a knee injury last season and became the odd man after Cleveland signed free agent guards Eric Steinbach and Seth McKinney last month.
