Quinn wants to play for Browns Up to the minute news about the Cleveland Browns from GoTeamsGo. We'll find the latest Cleveland Browns news so you can chat about here. Quote: QUINTESSENTIAL QUESTIONING
Times Picayune, LA - 5 hours ago
It isn't every day that someone with a future in professional football voices excitement, even giddy anticipation, about the prospect of playing for the Cleveland Browns.
So when Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, who was born in Dublin, Ohio, did just that, it was worth noting.
Quinn, who depending upon the expert doing the rating is either the second-best quarterback prospect in the draft behind LSU's JaMarcus Russell, dead even with Russell, or head-and-shoulders ahead of Russell, has said he'd like to be drafted by the Browns, who own the third pick in the April 28-29 draft.
"I basically said I was a fan when I was younger, and I definitely do have a desire based on where I live because where they are in the draft," Quinn said at the scouting combine. "I think economically that would be a good situation right now with them drafting in the third spot.
"But that's where it stops. I'm not biased towards any team based on where I live. Whatever team I go to play for I'm going to be happy to play for."
