| Kellen Winslow surgery Browns TE Kellen Winslow recently underwent another knee surgery, the Associated Press is reporting today. According to the report, "The Browns' talented tight end underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee last month, a more extensive procedure than was initially revealed and one that will require a longer recovery... Microfracture surgery involves drilling holes into bone in the knee to promote blood flow and form scar tissue, which replaces any damaged cartilage. Typically, patients need four months of rehab following the procedure."

| Re: Kellen Winslow surgery Winslow made it clear that something was wrong with his knee, and continually said that he was playing on one knee; however, Winslow said he figured it would just be a knee scope, though. I would have never expected it to need microfracture surgery. Have to give KWII credit, playing the last month or so without cartilage in his right knee. The kid is scary good, even with only one knee. |
