I am not aware how much the issue was publicized outside the Cleveland media, but Savage wields the majority of power with the Browns. He, not Romeo, had the final decision on all coaching staff affairs. He, not Romeo, has the final say with all personnel decisions. Coming from a messy divorce in San Diego due in large part to A.J. Smith, one would have to wonder how willing he would be to jump into a similar situation.

Interesting... did not know that. Think Savage would surrender some of that power to Marty, should it come down to it?

Savage is the type of character that seems like he wants to decide his own fate, rather than let other people decide it for him.
