 Browns DB Tommy James dies

MASSILLON, Ohio Tommy James, who played eight seasons as a defensive back for the Cleveland Browns in the 1940s and '50s, has died. He was 83.
A Browns spokeswoman says James' family informed the team the he passed away last night. His son, Mike James, says he believes the cause of death was congestive heart failure.
According to the Browns' Web site, James played for legendary coach Paul Brown not only with the Browns, but at Massillon High School and Ohio State.
