| Frye Has Broken Bone In Throwing Hand Although team officials continue to insist that Charlie Frye is suffering from a deep bone bruise in his wrist, sources close to the injured Cleveland Browns quarterback said the injury is a broken bone in his hand, and that the second-year veteran will not play in the final two games of the season. Frye, who started the first 12 games of the year, has missed the last two outings, and will not play on Sunday when the Browns host the Tampa Bay Bucs. Derek Anderson, who has played well since he replaced Frye in the first half of a Dec. 3 game, will get his third straight start. ESPN.com - NFL - Browns QB Frye has broken bone in throwing hand

| Re: Frye Has Broken Bone In Throwing Hand Frye may still have the starting job; at this point, it's hard to tell. Anderson will have a shot to show what he can do, and then there's talk that Cleveland may be eyeing Troy Smith with their first round pick, so... there's a lot that could happen between now and next summer.

| Re: Browns coach denies QB has broken wrist I believe Frye is done as the starting QB. It's a shame, too, because he never really got a fair shake with all the injuries this year. If Anderson plays well the last 2 games he may take the job. I would love to have Troy Smith play for the Browns. I have not been a fan for over 15 years. I haven't liked anybody on the team. |
