Browns' McCutcheon has more knee surgery

BEREA, Ohio - Cleveland Browns cornerback Daylon McCutcheon underwent microfracture surgery on his left knee a month ago, Phil Savage, the club's general manager, said on Thursday.

McCutcheon had routine arthroscopic knee surgery on Aug. 1, but it did not heal properly, requiring a more serious operation.

McCutcheon, who will turn 30 on Dec. 9, is one of only two players left from the Browns' 1999 expansion roster.

Savage also said the club would be issuing a statement Friday regarding right tackle Ryan Tucker, who was placed on the non-football-illness list Wednesday.

Tucker missed two games with an undisclosed illness. He returned and made two starts and played the first half of last week's game against Cincinnati before sitting out after halftime with the same problem.

Its sad on how good the browns looked before season started, and now look at them.
