In their first week under new offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson, the Cleveland Browns beat the New York Jets. And I love the run-first mentality he's brought to the team. According to this story, "The game plan was rather simple -- give the ball to Reuben Droughns. Fueled by a determined effort from his offensive line, which sorely wanted to see Davidson succeed in his debut, the veteran back sliced through New York's soft run defense for season highs of 33 carries and 125 yards along with a touchdown." It goes on to point out that the team had been 31st in the NFL with a per game average of 68.2 yards rushing. So can the Browns turn the corner now? |
