Browns coach Eric Mangini said he’s not trying to trade quarterback Brady Quinn, who lost his starting job after just 10 quarters this season.
With the Oct. 20 trade deadline approaching, there has been mounting speculation the Browns will deal Quinn, a former first-round pick who began the season as Cleveland’s starter.



But Quinn struggled in losses to Minnesota and Denver and Mangini benched him for Derek Anderson.

“We’re not looking to move Brady Quinn,” Mangini said Wednesday. “Brady is a Cleveland Brown and that’s not anything we’re looking to do.”

After the game Anderson had I think Quinn would be starting this week.

Its a tough situation there at QB. Neither looks like that can step up and be a good QB.

Last night on Access they said they thought he would be a goner, but not until next season.
Shopping Quinn would be a big mistake in my book.
And are the Browns' quarterbacks the only thing standing in their way?

I read this too Full Cougar. I think it is a strong sign that Quinn will not be sticking around much longer. Will have to wait and see.

Hey pal, nobody hates the Cleveland Browns that I know of? Derek Anderson, who is their current QB, I saw play live back when he played in a Civil War game many years go in Corvallis, OR. I root for the guy being from my home state but had the worst game of his life last week...but Browns still won! Good sign? I have said the Browns have a great defense, which they do, but have some serious problems currently on offense. I haven't seen a comment here that suggests anybody hate the Browns???

First, Quack calls everyone pal. He meant nothing by it.

And I am sorry if my comment offended you. I dont hate any team. Just a little smack talk. Ignore it when it comes from me if you dont like it. Trashing teams is allowed on here.
Its sad, because at the end of one year the Browns looked poised to come back big, and all they do is fall apart the following years. Anderson looked so good and Quinn was the qb of the future.


Besides, you should hear what they say about my Cowboys on here.

PS What about the issues with all the staph infections in Cleveland? Do they have anything to do with the Browns' difficulties? And has it been resolved?

people have been ripping on the browns 4 a long time, and i think this week has been hell for us fans...
the trade rumors about quinn and cribbs, the game against the steelers sunday night that everyone thinks is gonna be a total bust...whatever..its awful hearing someone say that it doesn't matter, that they don't count,
that they have no talent..that they are clowns

the only thing that i heard about the staph infection issue is that joe jurevicious is suing for what happened last season with his knee.
