Clemson running backs

The Clemson Tiger running backs averaged 5.4 yards per carry during Tuesday's scrimmage, and Sadat Chambers, Pau Macko and C.J. Spiller all had touchdown runs. That impressed coach Tommy Bowden, who said "I was not pleased with the running game, especially in short yardage on Saturday. But I saw improvement today. There was some good running North and South. You can't out-run Florida State running East and West." How good do you think the running game will fare against the Seminoles?

Re: Clemson running backs

More good news for the Tigers running backs:

Davis and Spiller Named to Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List :: Thunder and Lightning Among 35 Players Named - "Clemson running backs James Davis and C.J. Spiller have been named to the preseason Watch List for the 2007 Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award. Thirty-five players from around the nation were named to the Watch List for the award that honors the best all-around player in college football... Clemson was the only school in the nation to have two running backs named to the list and one of just eight schools to have more than one player selected regardless of position."
