| Bowden's coaching techniques Sounds like Tommy Bowden's employing some different kind of coaching techniques this summer. According to the Tigers' team website, the coach cancelled Thursday afternoon practice, opting instead to have a fire truck hose off his players on the practice field. After that, they went to see a movie at the West Endzone club at Memorial Stadium, with the coach noting that they were even supplied with popcorn. "I had seen a couple of pro teams change their schedule in the preseason recently," Bowden said. "Sometimes change is good. We had a good practice for two and a half hours on Thursday morning. We are in the middle of eight consecutive days of practice, the only time all year we will do that. I thought we needed a change... This team has done everything we have asked of them so far. Cutting down the number of two-a-day practices, drinking water, taking breaks in practice, Bear Bryant must be turning over in his grave." So what do you think of Bowden's approach? Will it work out for the Clemson Tigers? Clemson Football Practice Brief :: <blank>
