Clemson, SC - Former Clemson consensus All-American and 1981 ACC Player of the Year Jeff Davis will be one of 12 players inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December. The announcement was made Wednesday by the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame. Davis was the co-captain and leading tackler of Clemson's 1981 National Championship team... Davis will be the second former Clemson All-American to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame this decade, and just the third in history. Terry Kinard was inducted in 2001 and Banks McFadden was inducted in 1959. Former Clemson coaches John Heisman, Jess Neely and Frank Howard are also members of the Hall of Fame.
