Football standout Jacoby Ford had quite a debut on Friday evening at the Clemson Invitational, leading the men's track & field team to a first-place finish after day one of competition. Ford posted the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 60m with a 6.65, tying Larry Griffin (2003) and Corey Brown (2005) at that spot in the Clemson record books. Overall, three Tigers posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks on Friday.

Ford was a wide receiver on the Tiger football team this past fall, and is only a freshman. Rivals.com dubbed him the fastest player on the East Coast, and it looks like they weren't too far off considering his impressive track debut.
