Re: Ken Griffey Jr. catches Mike Schmidt Our good friend, Ken Griffey Jr. is already 36-years old and getting older every second. But now with injuries we must ask ourselves about his future, since they grabbed him away from the game at the peak of his career. How many more years will he stand at the bat on the hopes of reaching 700? He is obviously the better player than Barry Bonds, who of course is older and more experienced than him. I should see both of them in the Hall of Fame in a few years.

Re: Ken Griffey Jr. catches Mike Schmidt 600? I don't know. Maybe he'll push his career long enough to get the 50+ HRs necessary. I'll be rooting for him because he appears to be one of the genuinely nice guys in the game...for the past decade+ (the time I really got into MLB). All those leg injuries were awful and if he had played healthy without them...there's no doubt he could be the one aiming to break Aaron's record. A real shame what happened to his career once he went home to Cincy. Still, with that said, it's nice to see him on the Reds and helping them win. I'll be cheering for them to win the Wild Card this year and hopefully even challenge the Cards for the division.

Re: Ken Griffey Jr. catches Mike Schmidt I think he can get to 600, but just barely. At least, I sure hope he does. Junior's a good guy, a class act who's been snakebit throughout his career. Imagine what kind of numbers he would've put up had he not been injured quite so much. People'd be saying "Barry WHO?"
