| Hairston suffers fractured thumb Jerry Hairston Jr. suffered a fractured left thumb in the first inning Monday and will go on the disabled list. Hairston was injured while sliding into second in the first of his two steals in the first inning. The Reds will likely call up Adam Rosales to serve as a backup infielder until Jeff Keppinger returns. Paul Janish figures to be the regular shortstop for at least a week. Jerry Hairston      |
