Could somebody tell me what this kid has to do to get a shot on this team. He is hitting over .360 and I read over .600 the last few weeks while Patterson is hovering around .200 going 0-8 in a game without being replaced. How long until Bruce takes the job that should have been his on opening day?

Maybe they read my post. Yesterday, the Reds brought up Jay Bruce from Louisville. I haven't heard who is being sent down, but I can only imagine it will be Patterson.

In his first game, he lived up to expectations. He went 3-3 with 2 walks while driving in a few runs....a pretty good debut. I hope to see many more days like this in his future.

In a strange move, to make room for Bruce, the Reds got rid of Hatteberg instead of Patterson. They get rid of a player that could come off the bench and get a hit instead of a player that can't put wood on the ball.

What the heck is their obsession with hanging onto Patterson. Are they that convinced he can turn it around?

I think it has to do with the fact that Baker is the manager. He used him in Chicago too.
