Cueto came from nowhere this spring to make the team. Almost everybody thought it was going to be Homer Bailey to get the starting job, but Cueto was great through most of the spring and kept it going through his first big league start. He struck out 8 of the first 13 batters he faced with the only mistake he made was a pitch that Justin Upton hit for a homer. It is early and I may be optimistic, but I think he may put the Reds over the top in the NL Central.

Good start of course...but the guy is all of 5-10 , 185 lbs...which is weird for a guy with 170 K's in the minors last year.

He is a right handed Guidry. Reds fans take heart, he looks like the real deal. But it is only one start.

That type of pitcher is a hit and miss thing...they don't have the strong body to pitch from...they only have a strong arm...can lead to problems...

That is what I worry about too. He could throw his arm out.
